Updated To Reflect the New Campaign Finance Reform Laws Now in Effect.
The NAB Legal team, in collaboration with some of DC’s top communications counsel, and in consultation with FCC staff, created the Political Broadcast Forms to assist broadcast stations with their political candidate advertising campaigns.
NAB's PB-16 forms have been designed to serve as actual contracts for the sale of political broadcast time, and to satisfy the FCC record retention requirements. They have been updated to reflect the new filing requirements mandated by the new campaign finance reform laws now in effect. Under these laws, stations must file separate contracts for issue advertisements and political candidate advertisements.
Contained in NAB's PB-16 Political Broadcast Agreement Forms are:
1. NAB PB-16 CANDIDATE: AGREEMENT FORM FOR POLITICAL CANDIDATE ADVERTISEMENTS
2. NAB PB-16 ISSUES: AGREEMENT FORM FOR NON-CANDIDATE/ISSUE ADVERTISEMENTS
